What is 1x.com?

1x.com is an internationally curated photo gallery based in Sweden. Unlike open platforms, nothing here is published automatically. Every submission goes through a multi-stage review — member voting followed by a panel of experienced curators — before it's even allowed into the gallery. A team of twelve award-winning curators accepts only around one percent of all applicants; most submitted images never clear that bar.

Photographers who do are recognised as "Published Photographers." The highest distinction beyond that is "Awarded Photographer" status — reserved for work the curators judge to be exceptional.
